Impact Stories
Documenting the transformative impact of our programs on students' academic paths and long-term career aspirations.
Jimmy – Friends of the Children
Jimmy faced a difficult childhood surrounded by substance abuse and systemic barriers. With every male relative before him having faced incarceration, his path seemed predetermined. However, a long-term professional mentor stepped in to support him from childhood through graduation. This consistent guidance allowed Jimmy to break the cycle and build a thriving future.
Danielle Murray – The Arthur Project
While struggling with homelessness in middle school, Danielle often sought shelter on subway trains while pursuing her education. Everything changed when a mentor named Arthur believed in her potential. Inspired by his support, she graduated, attended college, and eventually launched her own organization to help other students overcome similar hardships.
Note: These inspiring stories from other nonprofits highlight the transformative power of mentorship that aligns with Bytet3c's mission.
